PDS Tech is seeking a CRH Training Device Lead for an open position in Stratford, CT
Manage various training device suppliers by applying skills and knowledge of training device design, develop, deliver and validation. Additionally provide the fundamentals of configuration management to include configuration identification, configuration status accounting, change control and configuration audits, deficiency reporting, and engineering data management.
o Manage several suppliers on the design, develop, delivery and validation of customer training devices.
o Establish and maintain training deliverable configuration status accounting data base as well as monitoring data input, track configuration of engineering documentation, and amend configuration baseline documentation as required to remain in configuration.
o Maintain engineering Bill of Materials
o Ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release drawings and documents
o Manages and coordinates engineering data releases and revisions with internal and external suppliers and customers
o Participate in creating processes and continuous process improvement
o Responsible for the communication and flow of design releases and implementation
o Experience in configuration management,
o Training Device related experience in manufacturing.
o BA/BS degree w/6-10 years experience
o Reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), and Request for Deviations (RFDs) for impact on format training devices.
o Identifying training related discrepancies and issues between the customer and Sikorsky planning and scheduling Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).
o Complying with Government policy, directives, standards, handbooks, pamphlets, etc., as well as DoD adopted industry standards.
o Establishing and maintaining consistency of training device performance, functional and physical attributes with its requirements, design and operational information throughout its life.
o Analyzing the impacts of the configuration management change process on lifecycle sustainment.
o Drafting and implementing training deliverable hardware and software audit and verification plans.
o Coordinating and implementing schedules for training System Verification Reviews/Functional Configuration Audits/Physical Configuration Audits (SVRs/FCAs/PCAs to include documentation of verification/audit review findings
o Analyzing and confirming adequacy of data for use in audits; brief audit teams; generate significant comments and action items; review draft minutes; monitor corrective actions and closure of action items; and prepare notifications to weapon system contractors when audit requirements have been satisfactorily met.
Shall be capable of possessing and maintaining a DoD Secret or higher security clearance.
