Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic Stratford, CT Stratford, CT Full-time Full-time $18 - $20 an hour $18 - $20 an hour Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Scheduler/Client Services Representative for our busy nonprofit spay/neuter clinic.
Committed to streamlining the booking process, ensuring service accessibility, and maintaining high-quality care, our schedulers play a crucial role in facilitating appointments, gathering essential information, and setting clear expectations for pet owners regarding the spay/neuter process.
The operations of a high-volume spay/neuter clinic can be demanding, and this role will require flexibility with scheduling, including occasional weekend shifts to accommodate surgical schedules and veterinarian availability.
Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments for spay/neuter surgery for dogs or cats via phone, walk-in, or online requests.
Gather and record comprehensive and accurate information from callers during the appointment booking process.
Provide excellent, client-focused customer service.
Assist with surgery check-in and pet release.
Process payments over the phone and at the counter, ensuring accurate recording.
Complete daily clinic opening and/or closing checklist, including daily cleaning of office spaces and/or public-facing areas.
Position Requirements:
Ability to learn basic veterinary medical concepts.
Accurate gathering and relaying of information in a friendly and professional manner.
Enjoyment of being around dogs and cats.
Support for the mission of Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic.
Must be able to see fine detail in various situations.
Excellent communication skills, both individually and in group settings.
Strong accuracy, detail-orientation, and customer service skills.
Technical proficiency with PC platforms, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Ability to answer and respond to multiple forms of communication channels and navigate a voicemail system.
Proficiency in accurately entering data into a database system.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Two or more years of reception/customer relations experience in a veterinary clinic and/or animal shelter environment.
Fluency in speaking and reading Spanish is a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
