Stratford, CTSUMMARYOur client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinato r to perform inspections and assist with the planning and coordination of quality assurance/control functions to ensure the continuous production of products consistent with established standards.
Responsibilities:
Performs and directs the company's receiving inspection process.
Performs activities related to Non-Conforming Materials.
Reports quality control objectives data to the Quality Manager monthly.
Assists in the investigation of customer complaints regarding quality and completes appropriate corrective action requests to improve processesand products.
Assists with managing the calibration program for production and test equipment.
Assists with coordinating visits and preparation of information for all external auditors and inspectors, including ISO, ASME, ABS, UL, andcustomers.
Coordinates all internal ISO audits with Quality Manager and relevant personnel.
Assists with all updates to Company quality control manuals.
Member of the Company facility safety and inspection team.
Assists with investigations of production issues and developing solutions to improve the efficiency, quality, and safety of Company operations andproducts.
Coordinates vendor quality audits and approves vendors for internally qualified vendor database.
Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical documents, common scientific journals, operating and maintenance manuals, legal documents, and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including tolerance specifications.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or issues from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, vendors, and/or company employeesAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to use common measuring instruments and electrical test equipment.
