The Igor Sikorsky Scholarship Program (ISSP) is an integral part of Sikorsky s diversity recruiting effort. The ISSP is designed to increase the level of interest in and awareness of careers in the rotorcraft industry amongst engineering students. The ISSP is also a reflection of our values and is awarded to recognize outstanding students and the achievements they have made. We provide students with the opportunity to work as an intern to gain insight into the rotorcraft industry, our company, and culture.
To be considered, the following requirements must be met:
Must at least be a full-time Sophomore or Junior and have a graduation date no earlier than Dec 2015
Pursuing an undergraduate degree at a nationally accredited U.S. college or university in one of the following engineering disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Materials Science, Systems, Electrical,
computer
and Computer Science.
Able to participate in a minimum of two 10-week paid summer internships.
In good standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Two letters of recommendation from the Dean of Engineering, a Faculty member or an Advisor.
Resume & Respond to two essay questions

Participants in the Igor Sikorsky Scholarship Program receive:
$10,000 annual award for tuition and education related fees
Paid summer internships in a US domestic office
Reimbursable summer housing stipend of $3,500 (if relocation is necessary)
Mentoring
Employment opportunity with Sikorsky upon graduation
Candidates interested in applying to the scholarship program must complete the online application process. Resumes will be forwarded to the ISSP program coordinator based on qualifications. If selected as a scholarship candidate supplemental materials will be sent to the selected candidates and will have to be submitted prior to consideration for an interview.
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien; Proof of citizenship is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
