Sikorsky s Canadian Maritime Helicopter Program (CMHP) team is seeking two Shearwater International Trade Compliance (ITC) Specialists to serve in successive 6 month periods to support the start of training and initial operating test and evaluation efforts with the Canadian Department of National Defense (DND) in Shearwater Canada. The ITC Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all sharing of technical data and defense
services
is authorized by current Manufacturing and License Agreements (MLA) and Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA). The individual will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing common ITC process approaches and standard work for classifying shared documents and the record keeping associated with sharing of technical data and defense services. The individual will also engage with and conduct training for employees, and conduct ITC site survey audits to ensure Sikorsky s understanding and ongoing compliance with all export laws, regulations and Sikorsky/UTC policies related to the export of technology, technical data, commodities (including products and parts), software, and services (items).
Significantly, the selected candidate will interact with Sikorsky, the Canadian DND, and employees of numerous suppliers who are co-located on the Shearwater campus to understand the CMHP product, technology, software, and services (including third party items) and to assist the organizations with determining the proper export authority for exporting those items.
Successful execution of these responsibilities will require training in export control laws, regulations, and policies; cross-functional leadership and support of Sikorsky BAERs; and strong project management of a variety of export compliance related initiatives and work efforts.
Engineering or Technical BS Degree preferred with 6
yrs of experience
Engineering or Technical MS Degree with 4
yrs of experience.
Qualifications include a demonstrated in-depth understanding of Sikorsky s business objectives and strategic missions.
Familiarity with U.S. export and import regulations including, but not limited to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and U.S. Customs regulations is a plus.
Candidate must have excellent analytical, project management, interpersonal, leadership, and verbal and written communication skills. Must be a team player, possess multi-tasking abilities, have a client focus, and work effectively in a time sensitive environment.
