Sikorsky Aircraft is an industry-leading manufacturer of helicopters, including the iconic BLACK HAWK helicopter. Sikorsky is seeking a License Specialist to join its Contracts & Compliance Department. The candidate will work with a group of legal and import/export compliance professionals to facilitate, analyze, authorize, and assess compliance with U.S. import and export laws and regulations, particularly related to the export of hardware, technical data, and defense services. The candidate will mainly be responsible for drafting export licenses and agreements in accordance with ITAR and EAR standards. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the below: Prepares license applications and amendments under the International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) required for the import and export of hardware, technical data, and services. Provides hardware import and export determinations & authorizations (license/exemptions/exceptions/NLR) to support ongoing Sikorsky operations. Monitors and tracks the status of license applications in process or pending with UTC and the relevant U.S. Government agencies. Ensures company adherence to import and export recordkeeping requirements by maintaining License files, ERP, and Trade Compliance software databases. Stays abreast of regulatory updates and changes as they affect import/export requirements. Attends various training seminars (in house, outside sources and self-study) and actively participate in various government roundtable discussions, committees and organizations as appropriate. Provides assistance to Company personnel on import and export related issues and questions via email and phone. Assists in the development, implementation, enhancement and maintenance of import and export compliance procedures and work instructions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
