Supply Management is seeking candidates for the position of Commercial Item Analyst.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting and documenting reviews of items proposed by suppliers to determine if such items qualify as commercial items pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 2.101 and client's internal policies and procedures. The candidate will be expected to work closely with client's suppliers, other Supply Management personnel, client's Engineers and attorneys. The candidate will also be responsible for evaluating and updating relevant policies and procedures and the creation of standard work to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory requirements.
Education - BA/BS degree with a strong background in analytical writing and project management.
Experience - The candidate must possess a demonstrated ability to write about complex topics clearly and persuasively. Some knowledge of the FAR/DFARS and U.S. Government procurement is required. Aerospace industry experience and experience with commercial item determinations is preferred but not required. The candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude who is able to take ownership of projects and interact in a professional manner with client's suppliers.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
