Job Description :
Ground Test Co-op. Assigned to small Ground Test projects or discreet tasks requiring the application of general engineering principles. Project assignments will be associated with the planning, conduct, data analysis, or reporting on bench tests performed in a laboratory environment. Potential assignments cover a broad range of test activities associated with helicopter structure and on board components and systems including dynamic components (blades, rotor head, shafts, etc.) systems, transmissions, drive systems, flight control systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems, etc. The assignments require technical skills, interpersonal skills, and personal initiative. The assignment will be accomplished while working under the immediate direction of a supervisor/mentor. Specific tasks may include: test conduct (fatigue, dynamic component, system level, etc.), post test data reduction/analysis, documenting standard work, alternate source qualification, review of supplier submittals, generation of test plans/reports.
Basic Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering or Aerospace engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Fall internship from September through January
Desired skills
2 years of college with a major in Mechanical or Aero. Engineering. Must have good communication and problem solving skills and a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications.
