Vehicle Description A car we sold a few years ago, just back in on trade.
Excellent body with very presentable older paint.
no cracks, no bubbles, NOT a 10k show finish but very nice for road use and local shows.
Very clean underneath, no sign of any rust holes and the chassis appears to be very solid.
Down the road, revs freely, accelerates quickly, maintains 70 psi oil pressure at operating temperaute, 60 si at idle, we did a compression test and found 140-150 psi in every cylinder.
No smoke cold or hot, quiet valves, no rocker or bearing noises from a cold start, this is about as good as it gets.
Gearbox is also excellent, quiet in first gear, excellent synchromesh going up and down through the gears, clutch grabs perfectly with no slippage or chatter.
And the disc brakes work wonderfully.
Wiring is so good I suspect it has a fairly new wiring harness.
And all of the original gauges work properly.
Top appears to be fairly new, side curtains also appear fairly new, and we are about to fit a new tonneau.
Trunk is nicely carpeted, interior is very nice and includes a rare back seat.
Chrome all appears to be new, engine bay is (as the English say) 'tidy,' wire wheels are round (what else could one want?), tires appear to be nearly new, we checked the steering and front end and all seems nice and tight, what else is left? Starts instantly, revs quickly even when cold, all of the typical parameters are excellent, looks good, rides smoothly, shocks working properly, exhaust is fairly quiet, has seat belts, wipers work perfectly, and.
.
that's it.
A very nice TR3A that is an excellent 'driver' and also happens to look very nice.
