Vehicle Description To be entirely candid, this car has been prepared exactly as I would do it for myself.
Excellent rust free body, chassis, floors, sills, frame members, etc.
Beautiful flame red paint.
Originally a rubber bumper car, lowered to pre 1975 ride height (and the front end rebuilt), a complete professional chrome bumper conversion, elimination of the side lights (and paint blended in on all four corners, a Mk I grilleand.
.
Rebuilt Chevy V6 engine, 5 speed transmission, special shrouding around the radiator and front AND rear electric cooling fans, power assist four wheel disc brakes, wire wheels, all new interior with leather seats, dash and console dyed to match the rest of the interior, burled wood dash, wood steering wheel, modern stereo, new tan convertible top, luggage rack, tonneau dyed to match the top, excellent wiring, ALL new VDO gauges (all connected, all work.
and probably a lot more reliable than the original Smith s instruments), door pockets, matching carpets, and (best of all), it all works together in a phenomenal way.
Engine is probably putting out between 130 and 140hp, stock B engine was rated at a paltry 62.
5.
The five speed transmission makes highway driving a dream, the rebuilt front end, front AND rear sway bars and wider tires makes steering and handling quite wonderful, excellent ride, on and on and on.
This V6 is probably the ideal unit to liven up an MGB.
Being only three cylinders long and with a 60 degree V, it is incredibly compact AND comes with a modern 5 speed transmission.
With a modern carb and ignition, one winds up with something very close to the perfect all around classic sports car.
Just in and certainly a very serious little 42 year old sports car.
