Vehicle Description Just inspent most of its life in California, owner died, widow let it sit in her garage for twenty years, brought out, gone over thoroughly, done and ready for new ownership.
Beautiful in bright red with beige interior.
Work done by last owner (things we were told, things we can see, and things listed on invoices):
new fuel tank and pump, new fuel lines, new lower front control arms, new upper and lower ball joints, new tires (175/70s), new distributor, new fuel injection wiring, new shocks, new ignition coil and module, new high output aluminum radiator, new water pump, all new brake flex lines, new rotors at all four corners, replaced rear calipers, new muffler, new handbrake cable, all radiator hoses, A LOT OF WORK.
And, a new tan convertible top.
As for the rest, as a 1982, a powerful fuel injected 2 liter DOHC engine, 5 speed transmission, power assist four wheel disc brakes, sophisticated rear suspension with trailing arms and a Panhard rod, top goes up and down in a flash, interior is 'like new,' excellent floors, perfect trunk floor, only thing missing is new front and side emblems and insignia (all of which have been ordered and in soon).
Great car, strong performance, excellent ride, fabulous brakes, seals up nice and tight with the top up, adequately sized trunk with a luggage rack, and not a lot to add.
A wonderful example in the same price range as a very good TR6 or MGB but with a level of sophistication missing from the English contemporaries.
Truly a cross between 'classic' and 'modern' sports cars.
And the lovely Italian styling.
