Vehicle Description Just inexcellent body, very good white paint, very good deep red interior with new gray carpets.
No smoke, 60 psi oil pressure, 145-150 psi compression in every cylinder, fairly new Michelin redline tires, boot cover and luggage rack.
Has covered 87,000 miles since new, HAS OVERDRIVE (and it clicks 'in' and 'out' quickly), HUGE difference.
With six forward ratios, absolutely wonderful on the highway.
Last owner since 1983.
.
more than likely, two owners since new.
Dash top and other vinyl interior pieces are not cracked, wood dash is excellent, no tears or wear on the seats, top appears to be nearly new, on the road runs 60 psi oil pressure and no smoke cold or hot.
Gearbox is smooth and quiet, excellent synchromesh action, no clunks in the rear suspension, a very clean engine bay.
Even the original cardboard shroud is in good condition.
Trunk is very clean and not a spot of rust under the spare wheel.
Chrome appears to be all original, a bit worn, but no peeling or pitting.
Even has an ancient cassette deck (usually, in my opinion, indicating not owned by 'a kid.
').
Underneath, perfect rust free floors and chassis, no paint bubbling on the top seams (a very common malady in Triumphs), all in all, a very nice TR6.
And a wonderful car for seasonal use, road trips, or the proverbial country roads.
Simple to service, easy to repair, far more performance than an MGB, a wonderful sound when accelerating, and parts are widely available and generally reasonably inexpensive.
